About Us

Johor National Park Corporation (JNPC) was established in 1989 under the gazettement of the Johor National Park Corporation Enactment 1989. JNPC was enacted to develop, manage and supervise the management of the national parks in the state of Johor.

Currently, there are five parks under the supervision of JNPC:

  1. Endau Rompin (Entrance through Peta or Selai Base Camp)
  2. Gunung Ledang
  3. Mersing Islands (Marine Protected Areas)
  4. Tanjung Piai (RAMSAR site)
  5. Pulau Kukup (RAMSAR site)

JNPC is expecting more Parks to be open and to be declared as RAMSAR sites. Gunung Panti is the proposed new Johor National Park. Other proposed RAMSAR sites include:

  1. Sungai Pulai
  2. Sungai Sedili Besar
  3. Sungai Sedili Kecil
  4. Sungai Lebam
  5. Sungai Santi
  6. Sungai Sebana
