Islands of Mersing National Park is located in Mersing district. It was proposed as a National Park in 2001. It covers island area 3715.3 hectares. It consists of 13 islands. It has 6 main island.

  • Pulau Sibu
  • Pulau Pemanggil
  • Pulau Rawa
  • Pulau Tinggi
  • Pulau Aur

This park has hill forest structure, mangrove and beach side forest. Currently it is gazetted in 10th December 2003.

The objectives of establishing the park are:

  • to preserve and protect wildlife and anything that important for geology, archeology, history and ethnology
  • as an attractive eco-tourism place
  • to introduce nature education, aesthetic value and recreation to visitors
  • to introduce the park to the world
  • to observe visitors activities
  • ensure the sea life is well preserved
  • ensure the forest at the islands are preserved and controlled from any intrusion and damage

It has an office in Mersing city. It is located in east of Mersing district at Jalan Abu Bakar. It started its operation on 1st August 2007. It serve as information counter regarding the islands and also their management. It only have five staffs.
